The Wedding/Civil Union Ceremony Planning process

First Meeting

We will begin with a face to face meeting to get to know each other.  This will take approx…60 minutes at a location suitable to you e.g. a local cafe or your home.

You will receive detail regarding the arrangements, and be provided access to resources that will help with the planning of your ceremony. There will also be discussion around the legal requirements, the ceremony format and formalities and your colour scheme which will help me co-ordinate my outfit, with the theme/ colour of your wedding.

Second Meeting

Please allow 60 – 90 minutes for this meeting so that I can hear more about your story and your vision for your big day. I will want to hear about your ideas and wish list for your wedding – as well as any challenges e.g. family dynamics, blended families etc.

I will support you to make sure your ceremony is as formal, informal, traditional or adventurous as you choose. During this meeting, we will also verify your legal documentation and compose your service including readings, poems, music and your own special vows.

Draft Wedding/Civil Union Ceremony

Using the information you’ve shared with me during our previous meetings, I will create a draft ceremony which incorporates your story, ideas and wishes. I will then send this to you via email and welcome your feedback. At this point we can make any changes that you require.

Rehearsal

I encourage you to have a rehearsal at your venue at least a week prior to your wedding, to ensure there are no surprises and that your day flows beautifully. This is also our opportunity to fine tune your ceremony together. I strongly advise that all of your Wedding party attend, so they know the arrangements and are comfortable & confident about their roles.

Wedding/Civil Union Day

Your wedding day is important to me and I can guarantee you my total commitment. I will only book one wedding on any given day, and will arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your ceremony.

In addition to officiating your ceremony I can also be on hand to liaise with the other parties involved in the ceremony, assist with greeting your guests and meet the bridal party on their arrival.
